We understand that taking medication can be an important part of daily life and you shouldn’t have to worry about remembering to stay on schedule. With our MedCoach app, you can easily follow your medication and vitamin schedule as prescribed by your doctor with friendly reminder messages delivered to your phone. We can even connect you to your pharmacy for prescription refills.
On the main menu screen you can quickly get to anything you might want to do: look at a list of your medications, set up a pill reminder, or access your pharmacy’s website to order a refill. MedCoach is Medication Management made easy.
At the bottom of the screen notice the word “Reminders” and a colored circle with a number in it. The number shows you how many new medication reminders you have. This colored circle will also show up on the app icon on your home screen.
To view your medication reminders simply tap “Reminders” and they will slide up.
On the Reminders screen you can see your open medication reminders and quickly record having taken one or more of your medications. No need to do them one by one, simply select all the medications you want by tapping on their images and then choose one of the action buttons at the bottom of the screen.
At the bottom of the screen notice the word “Refills” and a colored circle with a number in it. The number shows you how many new refill reminders you have. This colored circle will also show up on the refills icon on the main screen of the app.
There is an abundant amount of help and important information built right into the MedCoach app, to ensure you get the best experience. At any time, you can simply "Shake for Help™!" Just take your iPhone, give it a little shake, and information, relevant to the section you are in, will appear on screen in a help bubble.
To see additional help, you can simply tap the help bubble, and the screen will flip over to provide a longer, more in-depth solution to what you’re looking for.
Additionally, you can press and hold many icons and buttons and you will receive a custom help bubble.
Need to see a quick list of your medications? Simply tap on "Medications" on the home screen.
To add a new medication just tap the plus button and you will be able to look up your exact medication and dosage in the First Databank national drug database. You will also have the option to set up medication reminders and refill, pharmacy and doctor information.
MedCoach is very flexible - don’t forget to include your vitamins and other non-prescription drugs.
When you start typing the name of your medication MedCoach will access the First Databank national drug database and provide you with a list of possible matches. You simply select the one that is yours and MedCoach will automatically fill in the name, strength and form of your medication.
Even better, using the database you will have access to important information about your medications including side effects, precautions, drug interactions, and what to do if you miss a dose.
The Refills screen will show you all upcoming refills, ordered by ascending date. The date is calculated based on the dosage, schedule, and remaining pills. Whenever you wish to view and edit your medication refills, simply tap on the Refills icon from the main screen.
Tap on the > button to be placed into "edit mode" to change dosage quantity of remaining pills and date of when you need to refill, the app will automatically save your changes once made.
MedCoach has a place for you to store your pharmacy and doctor information to make it easy for you to contact them. If you already have their information in your address book, there is no need to type it in. Just tap the button at the bottom and it will be copied over.
When it is time for a refill, you can access your pharmacy's website with a tap of their link or call them by tapping on their phone number.
